Barack Obama: Early Life and Career

Barack Hussein Obama II was born on August 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He worked as a community organizer in Chicago before attending Harvard Law School, where he became the first Black president of the Harvard Law Review. He later served as an Illinois state senator and U.S. senator before his presidency.

Obama Administration Economic Policy

During his presidency from 2009 to 2017, Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to address the Great Recession. His administration expanded the auto industry bailout, enacted the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and implemented the Affordable Care Act, which extended insurance coverage to millions of Americans.

Legacy and Post-Presidency

Obama left office with a focus on economic recovery, job growth, and financial regulation. His administration oversaw a sustained expansion of the U.S. economy, including a significant reduction in unemployment. After leaving the White House, he has continued to speak on economic issues through the Obama Foundation and public initiatives.
