Are Bed Bugs Found at Disney?
Bed bugs can be present in any public lodging, including hotels and resorts near Disney parks. While Disney properties maintain strict cleanliness standards, occasional bed bug reports do occur in nearby hotels and vacation rentals. These pests are not unique to Disney and can be found in many travel destinations worldwide.
How to Prevent Bed Bugs During a Disney Trip
Inspect hotel rooms, especially mattress seams and headboard edges, before unpacking. Keep luggage on racks rather than on beds or floors. After returning home, wash and dry travel clothing on high heat and vacuum suitcases thoroughly. Early detection reduces the risk of bringing bed bugs into your home.
What to Do If You Encounter Bed Bugs
If you find signs of bed bugs, notify the hotel staff immediately and request a room change. Document any bites or sightings with photos. If you were bitten and experience a reaction, consult a healthcare professional.
