What Is a Soft Sided Cat Carrier
A soft sided cat carrier is a lightweight, flexible travel enclosure made from fabric over a wire or plastic frame. It is designed to be easier to carry and store than hard cases, while still keeping your cat secure during transport.
Key Features to Look For
Choose a carrier with mesh windows for airflow, a secure zipper or latch, a removable washable liner, and sturdy handles. Top rated models often include a shoulder strap or backpack straps for hands free carry, and enough interior space for your cat to stand and turn around.
Top Picks and Buying Guidance
Popular options include the Sherpa Original Deluxe and the PetFusion Comfort Carrier, both widely reviewed for durability and ventilation. For more detailed comparisons and user ratings, see this guide on soft sided cat carriers from The Spruce Pets.
