Can Dogs Fly on United Airlines
Yes, dogs can fly on United Airlines under specific conditions. United allows pets in the cabin and as checked baggage or cargo on many flights. Small dogs that fit in an approved carrier under the seat may travel in the cabin. Larger dogs usually travel as checked baggage or through United PetSafe cargo services, depending on the route and aircraft.
United Airlines Pet Fees and Requirements
United charges a pet fee for in-cabin travel, typically per flight segment. Checked pets and cargo pets have separate fees that vary by route and kennel size. All pets must have current health certificates and vaccination records. Some breeds, especially snub-nosed dogs, face restrictions due to safety and airline policy.
How to Book Pet Travel on United Airlines
You can book pet travel through United’s website or by calling customer service. United recommends making reservations early because pet spots are limited.
