Who Was John Wayne Gacy

John Wayne Gacy was an American serial killer active in the 1970s. He was convicted of murdering 33 young men and boys, mostly in the Chicago area. He was known as the "Killer Clown" for performing at children's events.

The Crawl Space and the Crimes

Police discovered multiple victims in the crawl space beneath Gacy's home in Norwood Park Township. The space was used to conceal remains after he lured victims to his house. Investigators recovered most of the victims from this area.

Gacy was arrested in 1978 after a missing person's investigation. He was sentenced to death and executed in 1994. The case remains a major reference in true crime discussions and is documented by law enforcement and news sources.
