Who Is Deb Haaland?

Deb Haaland is an American politician and former member of the U.S. House of Representatives. In 2021, she became the first Native American to serve as a U.S. cabinet secretary when she was confirmed as Secretary of the Interior. She previously chaired the House Committee on Natural Resources.
