Why Rivers of America Is Closing
Disneyland Rivers of America is closing as part of a major expansion project at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. The area is being redeveloped to support new attractions and guest experiences. The closure allows Disney to reimagine the land surrounding the Rivers of America and Frontierland.
What Is Changing and When
The closure affects the Rivers of America waterway, Tom Sawyer Island, and nearby walkways. Disney has not provided a final reopening date for the reimagined area. Updates are shared through official Disneyland Resort channels and press releases.
What This Means for Guests
Guests visiting Disneyland will notice the removal of the Rivers of America and related attractions during construction. Some viewing areas and photo spots near the waterway are no longer accessible. Disney advises checking the official Disneyland website for current park maps and attraction status.
