Atlanta Falcons Release Younghoe Koo
The Atlanta Falcons have officially released kicker Younghoe Koo, ending his tenure with the team. The move comes as the club looks to adjust its roster and manage salary cap obligations ahead of the upcoming season.
Why the Falcons Cut Koo
Teams release veterans to free up cap space and evaluate younger or cheaper options. Koo's departure gives the Falcons a chance to reassess their kicking depth and potentially bring in a new leg without long-term financial commitments.
Younghoe Koo Career Background
Younghoe Koo joined the Falcons in 2019 and became the team's primary kicker over several seasons. He was known for consistent field goal accuracy and clutch performances in close games. Before the NFL, Koo played college football at Georgia State and spent time on practice squads with other NFL teams.
