Primary Filming Locations
Most interior and exterior school scenes were shot at Irvine Park School in Orange, California, which doubled for the fictional Ridgemont High. Additional classroom and hallway footage came from nearby campuses in the Orange County area.
Several iconic street and commercial scenes were filmed along Westwood Boulevard and other Los Angeles streets, standing in for the mall and surrounding neighborhoods where the characters spend much of the film.
