What Is Harmony on Broadway?
Harmony is a Broadway musical inspired by the true story of the Comedian Harmonists, a German vocal group that rose to fame in the 1920s and 1930s. The show explores their music, friendship, and struggles during the rise of Nazism. The production combines ensemble singing, period staging, and large-scale musical numbers to tell their story.
Broadway Production and Creative Team
The Broadway production of Harmony is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler and directed by Warren Carlyle. The book is by Bruce Graham, with music and lyrics by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. The show features a large ensemble cast and a full orchestra, aiming to recreate the vocal harmony style of the original Comedian Harmonists.
