What Is the Hollywood Star Ceremony
The Hollywood star ceremony is the official event where a new star is unveiled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony is organized by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and includes speeches, a live audience, and media coverage.
How the Hollywood Star Ceremony Works
Nominations are reviewed by a selection committee that evaluates contributions to the entertainment industry. Once approved, the honoree chooses a ceremony date, and the star is revealed during a public event on Hollywood Boulevard.
What to Expect at a Hollywood Star Ceremony
Attendees can watch the unveiling, listen to remarks from industry peers, and see the star being permanently embedded in the sidewalk. Ceremonies are typically open to the public and streamed online.
