Is Angel Reese a Junior?
Angel Reese is not a junior. She is a senior forward for the LSU Tigers women's basketball team. After using a COVID-19 eligibility waiver during the 2020-21 season, she has three years of remaining eligibility entering the 2024-25 campaign, which makes her a senior by NCAA classification.
Angel Reese's College Basketball Timeline
Reese began her collegiate career at Maryland before transferring to LSU. She redshirted the 2020-21 season due to the pandemic and has since played three full active seasons. Her current status as a senior means she is in her final year of NCAA eligibility, not a junior.
Why People Ask If She Is a Junior
Search interest often spikes around roster updates and transfer portal activity. Because Reese missed a full season and has played three active years, some fans mistakenly assume she is a junior. Official NCAA records and LSU athletics listings confirm she is a senior entering the 2024-25 season.
Angel Reese's Current Status and Eligibility
As a senior, Reese is projected to be one of the top prospects for the 2025 WNBA Draft. She continues to lead LSU in scoring and rebounding while managing her final year of college eligibility. For the latest roster details, refer to the official LSU Tigers women's basketball page.
