Is Macy's Open on Christmas Day?
Most Macy's stores in the United States are closed on Christmas Day, December 25. The company traditionally observes the holiday by giving employees the day off and closing all locations. A few stores in high-traffic tourist areas or airports may remain open, but this is the exception rather than the rule.
Typical Christmas Day Hours and Exceptions
When Macy's is open on Christmas Day, hours are usually shorter than normal and vary by location. Airport and resort stores are the most likely to operate. Customers should confirm directly with their local store before traveling, as hours can change based on city regulations or staffing needs.
How to Confirm Your Local Store's Christmas Day Schedule
The fastest way to check if a specific Macy's store is open is to use the store locator on Macy's official website. Enter your zip code, select the store, and review the holiday hours listed for December 25. You can also call the store directly for the most accurate information.
