Is Miracles of Heaven Based on a True Story?
Miracles of Heaven is a 2014 Christian drama film inspired by a true story. The movie is adapted from the memoir by Christy Beam, who wrote about her daughter's healing from a serious digestive illness.
What Really Happened in the Story?
The film centers on a young girl who experiences a near-fatal allergic reaction and later recovers in ways her family describes as miraculous. The Beam family says their daughter's health improved unexpectedly after visiting a church and praying for healing.
Is the Movie Accurate to the Real Events?
The film follows the memoir closely but condenses and dramatizes events for storytelling. The book provides more detail about the family's faith journey and medical experiences. For more background, you can read the original memoir on its official page here.
