Getty Family Origins and Early Lineage
The John Paul Getty family tree traces back to George Franklin Getty, who built wealth through oil leasing in Oklahoma. His son, Jeanette Dumont, and later his son J. Paul Getty, expanded the family holdings into a major petroleum empire.
Key Members of the Getty Family Tree
J. Paul Getty married five times and had five sons. His eldest, George Getty Jr., and other children played roles in the family business. The Getty family tree also includes grandchildren involved in philanthropy, art collecting, and business ventures linked to the Getty Oil and Getty Trust legacy.
Getty Legacy and Connections
The family's influence extends into art, culture, and finance through institutions such as the J. Paul Getty Trust. For more details on the Getty lineage and business history, you can visit the official J. Paul Getty Trust page at https://www.getty.edu/about/
