What Is a Juilliard Honorary Doctorate
A Juilliard honorary doctorate is an awarded degree recognizing exceptional contributions to music, dance, or drama. The institution does not require recipients to complete academic coursework. The degree honors artistic achievement and impact on the performing arts.

Past recipients include influential composers, dancers, actors, and directors. The list spans figures such as Leonard Bernstein, Martha Graham, and Meryl Streep. The full roster is maintained by Juilliard and updated as new degrees are conferred.
