Why Was Love Island Removed?
Love Island was removed from the air in 2023 after ITV paused production following the death of a contestant. The decision came after an inquest raised serious questions about welfare and safety procedures during filming.
What Happened After the Removal?
ITV suspended the series and launched an internal review of production practices. The broadcaster later announced that future seasons would not return until significant changes were made to on-site welfare and medical support.
