Mariners Player Suspended: Overview
The Seattle Mariners placed a player on the suspended list after a violation of league rules. The suspension was announced by Major League Baseball and is subject to review. The team confirmed the disciplinary action and stated it is cooperating with the league.
Reasons and League Rules
Suspensions typically result from violations of the MLB Joint Drug Agreement, on-field conduct policies, or other rule infractions. The length of the ban depends on the nature of the offense and prior history. MLB publishes official statements outlining the decision and applicable guidelines.
Impact on the Roster
The suspension creates a roster vacancy, and the Mariners may call up a replacement from the minor leagues or adjust their active lineup. The player remains ineligible for game participation until the suspension is served. For more details on MLB suspension rules, see the official MLB policy page at https://www.mlb.com/rulebook.
