What Is a Mask Singer
A mask singer is a performer who wears a full costume and mask to conceal their identity while singing. The format hides visual clues so the audience and judges focus on voice, stage presence, and song choice. Contestants compete in rounds, with eliminations based on clues, performances, and votes.
How the Mask Singer Format Works
Each season features a group of celebrities or public figures who sing cover songs while remaining anonymous. Before or after performances, hosts and panelists offer hints about the singer’s identity. Viewers can vote or follow clues to guess the masked performer. Eliminations continue until a final winner is revealed.
Where to Watch Mask Singer Shows
The concept originated in South Korea and has since been adapted in many countries. Some versions air on major broadcast networks, while others stream on dedicated platforms.
