Early Schooling and Family Background

Princess Diana was born Diana Frances Spencer on July 1, 1961, in Sandringham, Norfolk. She grew up in a privileged British aristocratic family and spent her early years between Park House and Althorp. Her parents later divorced, and she was raised with her siblings in Norfolk and London.

Schools and Boarding Education

Diana attended Silfield Private School in Norfolk before moving to Riddlesworth Hall School, a boarding school for girls. She later enrolled at West Heath Girls' School in Kent, where she was described as shy but popular. She left West Heath at age 16 and did not complete sixth form.

Further Studies and Skills

After finishing school, Diana briefly studied at the Institut Alpin Videmanette in Switzerland. She also took courses in ballet and cooking, and worked as a kindergarten assistant. After her marriage to Prince Charles, she focused on charity work rather than formal academic study. More details are available on Britannica.
