Who Is the Red Disney Princess
The most prominent red Disney princess is Ariel from "The Little Mermaid." She is known for her red hair, green tail, and adventurous personality. Other princesses or related characters occasionally feature red tones in outfits or hair, but Ariel is the central red-haired royal in the official Disney Princess lineup.
Red Outfits and Iconic Looks
Ariel is often shown in her green tail, but her red hair remains her signature trait. In some merchandise and promotional art, she wears red accessories or outfits. Rapunzel also appears in red dresses and has red-brown hair, while Merida from "Brave" is associated with red hair and a blue-green outfit, though she is not part of the official Disney Princess brand. Official costumes and dolls highlight these color details.
Why Red Is Popular in Disney Princess Media
Red hair and red clothing help characters stand out in animation and marketing. The color draws attention and supports strong visual branding for toys, costumes, and theme park experiences. Disney uses these looks to make princesses easily recognizable across films, games, and merchandise.
