What Is a Samoyed Backpack
A samoyed backpack is a dog harness with integrated saddlebags designed for medium to large breeds. It lets working and active dogs carry their own water, treats, and small gear on hikes and trails.
Key Features to Consider
Look for padded, adjustable straps that distribute weight evenly across the chest and shoulders. Breathable, durable fabrics such as ripstop nylon or polyester help prevent overheating and wear. Multiple compartments keep items organized, while reflective strips improve visibility during low-light walks.
How to Choose the Right Size
Measure your samoyed’s girth just behind the front legs and compare the result to the manufacturer’s size chart. The pack should sit snugly without restricting movement or rubbing. Start with a light load and gradually increase weight to confirm comfort and stability.
