What Is the Amazon $5 Thank My Driver Feature
Amazon allows customers to add a $5 tip to their delivery driver through the app after an order is delivered. This is separate from any standard delivery fee or subscription benefit. The tip goes directly to the driver as a thank you for service.
How to Use the $5 Thank My Driver Option
Open the Amazon app, go to Your Orders, and select the delivered order. Choose Thank My Driver, then select the $5 tip amount and confirm. The payment is processed using your default Amazon payment method. Drivers receive the tip as part of their earnings.
Why Customers Tip Drivers Through Amazon
Tipping helps support delivery workers who often work long hours in various weather conditions. Many customers use the $5 option as a simple way to show appreciation. According to Amazon, drivers keep 100% of the tips they receive through the app.
