How Does The Sandman Comic End
The Sandman comic series concludes with the story arc "The Kindly Ones." Dream, also known as Morpheus, faces a cycle of revenge from the Erinyes after a past betrayal. The final issues follow his journey through Hell, the realm of the Faerie, and the waking world as he tries to settle his debts and face his destiny.
What Happens to Dream at the End
In the climax, Dream is captured and killed by Loki and the Erinyes. His death triggers chaos across the realms of the Endless. After a period of disorder, a new Dream is born, and the cycle resets. The series ends with a focus on legacy, change, and the inevitability of endings.
Final Fate of Key Characters
Several major characters reach definitive moments. Lucifer willingly abandons Hell, sealing it shut. Death remains a constant presence, and Dream's sister Delirium hints at cosmic shifts. The ending resolves long-running plotlines while leaving the broader DC cosmology intact for future stories.
