What Makes a Squishmallow Rare
Rarity is driven by limited production runs, retired status, and exclusive event drops. Some early releases were produced in very small quantities, making them highly sought after by collectors.
Top 10 Rarest Squishmallows
Commonly cited rare Squishmallows include the original 2017 pilot edition characters such as the 4.5-inch Clue and the 4.5-inch Connor the Cactus, which are extremely difficult to find. Other notable rare releases include the 5-inch Cleo the Cat, the 5-inch Benny the Bull, the 5-inch Fiona the Flamingo, and the 5-inch Boris the Bear, all of which have low population counts among collectors. The 5-inch Jack the Black Cat and the 5-inch Rudy the Reindeer are also frequently referenced as scarce, while the 5-inch Wally the Shark is often listed among the hardest to locate. The 5-inch Rory the Lion rounds out many top 10 lists due to its limited availability.
Identifying genuine rare Squishmallows requires checking for specific hang tags, batch codes, and early packaging details. Collectors often verify authenticity through official retailer records and community databases.
