Jay Weinberg Joins Slipknot
Jay Weinberg joined Slipknot in 2014 as the band’s drummer. He was announced as a full member after touring with the group earlier that year.
Replacing Joey Jordison
Weinberg filled the role left by Joey Jordison, who departed Slipknot in late 2013. His recruitment marked a shift in the band’s rhythm section while maintaining the aggressive style fans expect.
Background and Role in Slipknot
Before joining Slipknot, Weinberg played with bands such as Madball and Against Me!. He is the son of Max Weinberg, drummer for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. Since 2014, he has remained a core member of Slipknot’s lineup.
