What Are the Fixed Signs
The zodiac has four elements, and each element contains one fixed sign. These signs fall in the middle of their respective seasons, marking a period of stability and persistence.
Which Signs Are Fixed
The fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. Taurus is fixed earth, Leo is fixed fire, Scorpio is fixed water, and Aquarius is fixed air. In tropical astrology, these signs occupy the middle degrees of their season, between the cardinal and mutable signs.
Traits and Meaning of Fixed Signs
Fixed signs are often linked with consistency, determination, and resistance to change. They tend to focus on maintaining what has already been established. For a general overview of astrological elements and modalities, see Astrology.com.
