Current Top 3 Contestants
The current top 3 of American Idol vary by season and are determined by weekly viewer votes. The finalists are typically three singers who advanced through Hollywood Week and subsequent live shows.
To see the latest standings, check the official American Idol website or ABC’s episode recaps, which list the top 3 after each voting window closes.
How the Top 3 Are Chosen
Contestants earn a spot in the top 3 by receiving the highest combined votes from the audience during live results shows. Judges may save one performer, but the remaining spots depend entirely on public voting.
Where to Follow Results and Performances
Fans can watch live episodes on ABC and stream past performances on Hulu. Official social media accounts and the American Idol app provide real-time updates, voting details, and contestant profiles.
