House Vote Totals

In the House impeachment votes, a majority of Republicans voted against impeachment, while most Democrats supported it. In the first impeachment, the final tally was 230 to 197, with a small number of Democrats voting against and a few Republicans voting in favor.

In the second impeachment, the vote was 232 to 197, with more Republicans opposing impeachment and a few Democrats joining them. Independent and third-party members also cast votes against impeachment in both cases.

Senate Acquittal Votes

In the Senate trial, a two-thirds majority was required to convict. Most Republicans voted against conviction, while Democrats and a small number of independents voted to convict. In the first trial, the vote was 52 to 48; in the second, 57 to 43.
