Why Did Andre 3000 and Big Boi Split
Andre 3000 and Big Boi, the duo known as OutKast, officially went their separate ways after more than two decades together. The split was gradual, with both members focusing on individual projects while maintaining that OutKast was not formally disbanded.
Creative Differences and Individual Ambitions
Reports indicate that Andre 3000 pursued a wide range of solo work, acting, and fashion, while Big Boi continued making music and business ventures. Their distinct artistic directions made it increasingly difficult to produce collaborative albums on a regular basis.
What Happened After the Split
Big Boi released solo albums and continued touring under his own name. Andre 3000 largely stepped back from traditional rap albums, focusing on select features and high-profile collaborations. Both members have spoken about their respect for each other in interviews.
