Chris Evans' MCU Departure

Chris Evans did not continue as Captain America after Avengers: Endgame. In the film, Steve Rogers passes the shield to Sam Wilson, officially ending Evans' run as the character. Evans later confirmed that he felt it was time to step away from the role.

Why Evans Left the Role

Evans has stated that he wanted to explore other acting opportunities after a decade playing the character. He also noted the physical and emotional demands of the role, and that leaving allowed him to pursue different kinds of projects.

Chris Evans' Future MCU Appearances

Although Evans is no longer Captain America, he has returned for brief cameos. He appeared as Steve Rogers in the Disney+ series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier." He also reprised the role in "Avengers: Doomsday," confirming his involvement in future MCU storylines.
